This affordable medium-telephoto lens is a lightweight and portable option for shooting beautiful portraits. The maximum aperture of f/1.8 makes the EF 85mm f/1.8 USM suitable for shooting in most lighting conditions – from flattering portraits to fast-moving lifestyle images with superb results. The in-built Ultra-Sonic Motor (USM) drives fast and quiet Auto Focus when shooting movies, with optional full manual override and a non-rotating front element during focusing, enabling specialist filters such as polarisers to be used.
