Product Description
Extralink Krios PoE switch with Gigabit ports
It is a 6 port unmanaged switch with 4 PoE ports at a maximum speed of 1000 Mbps, with support for IEEE 802.3af/at standards with maximum power per port up to 30W. The switch also has 2 RJ45 ports without PoE power options. These ports can be used as Uplink ports or to connect additional devices e.g. video recorder in monitoring applications.
Four additional operating modes of the PoE switch
The KRIOS switch has four switches on the front that allow you to run additional modes to improve network performance or range. Below is a presentation of each mode's operating principles:
VLAN mode - when this mode is activated, the ports 1-4 are isolated from each other, which can effectively suppress public address storms and improve network performance.
EXTEND Mode - allows ports 1-4 to efficiently transmit data and PoE power over distances of up to 250 meters, which is ideal for video surveillance systems.
AI PS mode - the switch automatically detects the operating status of the connected device to one of the PoE ports and when it detects that it is not working properly it automatically restarts the device.
AI QoS Mode - In this mode, video data is processed as a priority to ensure a smooth image. The solution used primarily in monitoring solutions.
Power over Ethernet
The Krios switch supports IEEE 802.3 af/at standards, which automatically detects and identifies PoE devices that comply with these standards and provides them with power, so there is no need to worry about devices that do not need power through PoE (not supporting IEEE 802.3 af/at standards), the switch will not power these devices. The maximum power supply connected to the switch is 60W.
