DDR3 memory modules, commonly used in personal computers, are characterized by very fast data transfers, large capacity and low energy consumption (in the case of low voltage modules even 1.35 V). Thanks to “fly-by” topology and on-Dimm address bus termination, DDR3 can achieve clock rates even above 1200 MHz (data transfer with the frequency above 2400 MHz). Low power consumption makes DDR3 modules suitable for mobile applications.
