Product Description

Make sure you are warned in time when there is too high a concentration of carbon monoxide in your home with the Smartwares FGA-13081 Carbon Monoxide Detector. The detector has a 10-year sensor and replaceable batteries that last 3 years. Carbon monoxide is odourless and tasteless. The loud alarm of 85 dB ensures that you can take measures to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.

Carbon monoxide, a lethal intruder within your home
In winter time, people tend to cosy up on the couch with the heating on. Especially than, carbon monoxide is lurking around the corner. When the heating sources are not properly maintained, carbon monoxide can be released. Carbon monoxide is a lethal gas, which is not detectable with our senses. Therefore, it is of the upmost importance to have one or more alarms installed, to make sure you are warned in time.

Loud and clear alarm
The Smartwares FGA-13081 Carbon monoxide alarm has a loud and clear alarm of 85 dB that goes off when the allowed carbon monoxide concentration is exceeded. The alarm can be used in spaces with a surface from 20 m² up to 40 m². The sensor has a 10 years lifetime and comes with batteries. You will hear a short beep if the battery is running low, this way you get alerted when you need to replace the battery.

Easy installation
The carbon monoxide detector functions optimally when it is suspended from the ceiling and at least 1.85 meters from a combustion device. An ideal place to hang the detector is for example near the boiler, boiler or near the gas stove in the kitchen. You can also mount the detector on the ceiling by using the supplied screws

Maintenance and testing
Dust and dirt can reduce the operation of a carbon monoxide detector. It is therefore important to clean your detector every month with a slightly damp cloth and every six months with a vacuum cleaner. However, never use cleaning products and do not paint the detector. In addition, it is recommended to test the carbon monoxide detector on a monthly basis to ensure that it functions properly.
