FBT VENTIS 112A Active Loudspeaker
The VENTIS 112A is one of five full-range loudspeakers in FBT's VENTIS series, designed especially for fixed installations and professional stage use. The VENTIS series - 115A, 112A, 110A, 108A and 206A - is designed to meet the highest standards of performance, quality, flexibility and aesthetics for everyday professional use. In addition to a powerful DSP signal processor, all VENTIS models also feature a state-of-the-art Powercon True power connector.
The VENTIS 112A is an active full-range loudspeaker with a two-way bass reflex design. FBT's proprietary long-throw 12" mid/bass driver is sonically complemented by a 1" B&C tweeter with 1.4" voice coil. The powerful DSP signal processor with 6 presets can be controlled comfortably via the illuminated LCD display and the speaker can be adapted to any room situation. Two free user program slots for self-created set-ups are also available. The rotatable horns with constant directivity can be adjusted horizontally and vertically with pinpoint accuracy to optimize the dispersion angle for any room coverage. When operating with multiple speakers in the same room, the correct phase can be precisely adjusted from zero to 10 meters or in mS via the DELAY (delay of the input signal).
The amplifier module with bi-amp technology provides a total of 900 W of power and delivers a maximum sound pressure of 133dB SPL. The cabinet is made of 15-mm Baltic birch plywood with internal bracing for even more robust stability. Thanks to the 35-mm pole jack for common stands, as well as five M-10 inserts for optional mounts, the VENTIS 112A is ideal for fixed installations and FOH stage ion sets.
The VENTIS Series
The VENTIS series - 115A, 112A, 110A, 108A and 206A - is designed to meet the highest standards of performance, quality, flexibility and aesthetics for everyday professional use. All models are as suitable for fixed installations as they are for stage use. M10 flying points are included as standard, and matching U-brackets for wall mounting are available as accessories. The large 110A through 115A models feature aluminum handles with rubber inserts, as well as a 45° angled profile for unobtrusive placement on stage as a monitor. The compact 206A and 108A models feature an integrated grab handle on the top. A 35 mm stand or pole socket, as well as M10 connection sockets for mounting on ceilings, walls, or trusses are provided on all units.
All VENTIS models are optionally available in passive design.
Power supply
The power supply of all active VENTIS models is provided by a special switching power supply amplifier module developed by FBT. Low frequencies are driven by a highly efficient Class-D technology with 700 W RMS (full bridge), which operates with an extremely low THD. For the HF stage, 200 W RMS power is delivered via a carefully crafted Class-H / AB design. Thus, the total power output is 900 watts. All VENTIS models also feature a state-of-the-art Neutrik Powercon True1 power connector.
DSP Signal Processor
The integrated DSP is both user-friendly and powerful. A large rotary knob with push-to-select function on the control panel on the rear panel makes it easy to navigate through the menu-driven system. 6 presets are available, two additional slots, for own user settings with 5 parametric equalizers each, complete the concept. Also present is a high-pass filter, a Mic/Line selector, low, mid and high frequency settings and an optional DELAY delay between 0 and 10 meters. A special feature is switchable limiter: finally the user can exclusively choose between two limiter modes, MAX-SPL or MAX-QUALITY, to best suit his performance.
