Neumann KH 80 A Active Studio Monitor, black

With its digital core, the KH 80 DSP enables filter functions and room adjustment options that bring its reproduction to reference level in any environment. In addition, there are unusual power reserves for the compact design - and the classic strengths of the Neumann monitor philosophy: clearly defined dispersion angles, low-distortion design, and sophisticated choice of materials.

Every vibration nuance, every dispersion angle, and every wave reflection of the KH 80 DSP is known to the Neumann developers. Its pure sound is created because they precisely guide each sound wave. This is because the design of the KH 80 DSP is based on computer simulations that no one but Neumann calculates in this level of detail. The Mathematical Modeled Dispersion Waveguide (MMD™) gives the Studio Series a foundation for precise sound guidance that remains unique. Solid mathematics has never sounded better.

Sometimes it's a project studio, sometimes it's a broadcast van, sometimes it's a work nook or brick building: the room makes the sound. Its surfaces and angles cause interference, diffraction, reflection, and refraction, many kinds of distortion. For truly neutral sound without acoustic-physical "accidents", you therefore need expensive equipment and tuning - or smart algorithms. A rough adjustment to the monitor's placement position (Free Standing, Small/Medium/Large Desk) is possible via the "Acoustical Control" switch on the back.

High-quality components, protective mechanisms, and power reserves even under the highest loads are a matter of course in this studio class. Its design makes the KH 80 DSP a versatile nearfield monitor for professional demands - in project and music studios, in editing and broadcasting rooms, or in OB vans. Some customers have become so accustomed to the clear reproduction that they even place the KH 80 DSP in the living room. Why not? After all, the KH 80 DSP delivers digital precision for an analog masterpiece: your ears.
